Management Software – The Key to Competence and Business Productivity
Keeping abreast with modern technology, makes life convenient and easy for humans. This only proves one specific truth.- human intelligence is unequaled and beyond limits. The invention of computers made our lives convenient, comfortable and easier especially in the field of business and communication. Imagine? We can now send letters in just one click of a button? Isn’t that wonderful? The long wait is over, now we can enjoy the benefits of doing business through this device. But let us not forget the fact that a computer will not function efficiently without this “small but terrible” part of a computer referred to as software. A software is a non tangible component of a computer that performs any function. It is a general term which includes programs which instruct the computer on what to do. In addition, software configures files where important system information are being stored. On the other hand, software are of different kinds:- Application Software
- Program Software
- System SoftwareSoftware is being widely used in the various fields of knowledge like education and business management. In offices, it is used as a “Room Scheduler “within a single department. A software is needed to get more work done in less time. Further, a room scheduling software minimizes real estate overhead to be able to apply a shared workplace so as to conserve energy consumption.. This trend has been used by most companies nowadays. On the other hand, a business organization employs a software known as the “Appointment Scheduling software. This is specifically designed to bring together the most critical components of a business.- Your time and your clients. This software instructs and reminds the client and you about your appointments; It does the job of scheduling customers in seconds, preparing waiting lists, fills cancellations and tracking down customer’s history.Management software has a wide variety of advantages especially in the areas of project management. These are:- Communications – this facilitates communication among project team members regardless of geographical locations,
- Tracking – allows project team members to track progress deadlines and cost.
- Accountability- team member’s tasks are monitored daily by the software.
- Management- members can manage every facet of the project.Management software also has the capacity to control an organization documents as to their lifecycle, It encompasses as to how the documents were created, published, reviewed utilized and retained. The best feature of this software is that it fits the budget of a certain organization; Nonetheless, it is flexible enough to meet the rigid requirements of documentation workflow. On the contrary, before availing this software, a number of questions must be asked: First, Is the software user – friendly? Is the capability of the interface familiar to the user? Third, Is the software accessible from existing browsers and email applications such as Microsoft Excel and Windows Explorer? Summing up the software is “must haves” for the company to meet the challenges of economic revolution.
Home Business – Don’t Get One Of The 3 Stooges! (Part 1 – “Home Data Entry”)
Making some extra money by working at home sounds great, doesn’t it? Choose your own hours, work as much or as little as you want to, fit it all around your other commitments – it sounds wonderful! And it can be, if you give very careful consideration to what I call “The 3 Stooges of Home Business.” This article is the first in a series of three articles. Please be aware that these articles offer you only my own personal experiences and opinions. This article focuses on the concept of making easy money for typing at home.If you have been investigating the possibility of starting a home computer business for very long, you have probably seen several websites promoting home data entry, filling out forms, etc. These websites often mention that you will be writing simple, short ads for hundreds of companies, your ads are never turned down, they will take only minutes to write, etc.Although I have, by no means, tried every single one of them, my experiences with that type of product have been pretty consistent.Basically, the “forms” you fill out are Google ads. When you go to Google and enter, say “dog training,” you get pages of results. Notice the little listings on the right-hand side of the results page. Those little entries look a lot like regular newspaper classified ads. They are, in fact, the internet equivalent of classified ads. Let’s say that you have some camping equipment that you no longer use, and you put an ad in your local newspaper advertising that camping gear. You would pay for the ad, based on how many lines your ad used and how many days you wanted it to run. You might even pay extra to have it run on the weekend or to appear near the top of the “used camping gear” section. If someone buys your camping gear, you make money. If no one buys your gear, you’re out the cost of the ad.It’s basically the same thing on Google. People who want to advertise a product write ads, pay to place those ads on Google, and wait for someone to buy the product. That’s where you come in with many of the home data entry products. When I bought these products, what I received was, essentially directions to choose internet products that I would like to advertise, write Google ads for those products, pay Google to run the ads, and hope someone bought the product so that I could make some profit on my Google ad costs.(As you might imagine, the products were not nearly so clear in explaining the “big picture” as what I just wrote to you.) But back to the promises of easy, fast, big money from my home computer in only minutes per day.It didn’t happen. Here are the major problems I encountered. It’s true that there are hundreds and thousands of companies that would like you to write ads for them. Of course there are! Those companies would love for you to pay for ads for their products. When someone buys, they make a sale (that costs them nothing to get), and they pay you a commission. When no one buys, they lose nothing. You, however, pay for the Google ads even if not one single person buys the product. It’s also true that your ads are never rejected (unless you write an ad that offends Google’s publication rules – obscenity, etc.). But it’s the same thing as above. No buyers equals no money for you.Remember the part about paying more for your camping gear ad to get it running on the weekend, or placed near the top of the section on camping gear? It’s the same basic situation with Google ads, only the higher costs are related to the most popular products. So if you decided to advertise a product for making money on the internet (a very popular content area), your advertising costs would probably be pretty high.If you decided to advertise a product that teaches people how to train chimpanzees to waltz, you could probably get pretty inexpensive ads on Google. But how many people will be likely to actually buy your waltzing chimpanzee product? It is possible to make money by promoting products through Google, but it’s a sad fact of internet life that most Google advertising beginners lose money and give up quickly. The people who do make a lot of money with Google ads have invested a lot of time, study, comparative ad testing, and money in their success. Unlike those people, I must count myself as someone who tried Google, lost money, and quit before I lost more.So – in summary – if you are considering the home data entry type of products, investigate thoroughly before you commit. Write to the “contact us” or “help” links on the website, and ask for specific information about what the product will deliver to you, and exactly what you will need to do in order to really make money with the product. Be sure you understand exactly what the refund policies are (when I requested a refund from one company, they simply sent me automated emails saying that my email request could not be delivered to them – until the refund period had expired).Whenever you buy any information product on the internet, be sure to save your receipt and keep track of it. You will almost certainly need the information on your receipt if you ever decide to request a refund for the product. In addition, be careful to keep track of time. Once their stated refund period has expired, any company can quite fairly refuse to return your money.Reprint Rights: You are free to copy this article and reprint it as long as you adhere to the following requirements. 5 Common Schemes Against Travelers – And How to Avoid Them
Scams against travelers can be found everywhere, and the traveler is always susceptible because he is in unfamiliar surroundings and at times is open to being “helped” by a native “friend”. That, coupled by the fact that there are people in almost every tourist location who make their living on the unsuspecting tourist, and it can put a damper on what is meant to be a great experience. Here are 5 common scams against travelers, and how to avoid them.1. Travel Deal Bait and Switch – Beware of the hotel offering free meals at its restaurant, then changing the terms when you arrive, perhaps even waiting until when you check out and then saying the original package was invalid. Be sure when checking in to clarify the terms of the package deal, and always get your deal in print and have it with you. When you receive unethical treatment from a hotel, whenever possible enter your comments on the hotel comments. “Trip Adviser” is one I frequently use. Most savvy travelers read these before booking, and this type of operator will soon be out of business.2. Insurance – Most travel agencies are on commission to sell you insurance, and unfortunately some mislead the traveler. A Consumer Association survey recently reported 81 % of customers didn’t have their coverage properly explained to them by their travel agent, 55% weren’t told about their excess payment and 65% weren’t asked about any existing medical complaints that might have left them uncovered. For car insurance, have a copy of your insurance coverage instead of having to take coverage from the rental agency, which can cost almost as much as the rental itself.3. Counterfeit Merchandise – You may go to some travel destinations that provide great shopping opportunities, where merchandise is on sale for a fraction of its price elsewhere. These versions are almost always counterfeit or knockoffs. This may not be a big deal to you, but just remember, if the deal seems too good to be true, it is.4. Money Exchanges – There are many scams involving exchange booths, and there are times when you have to use them. I have found, too, that their exchange rates can often (but not always) be better than banks. Most are legitimate, but watch out if they count out bills in very small denominations or the site or individual you are dealing with is not obviously permanent. So always get a receipt, and choose fixed premises, so if you have difficulties with counterfeit money you will have someplace to bring the police to.5. Unauthorized Taxis – The last of our 5 common scams against travelers is getting into unofficial taxis; never, ever use one. The best thing that will happen is you will be overcharged. The worst is the horror stories of being kidnapped and robbed (chiefly in Central and South America), but you are exposed to this anywhere. Sadly, the old traveler tradition of sharing cabs to save money is no longer safe, as gang members or accomplices can pose as travelers getting into that cab with you. These are just a few of the common scams against travelers. That of course does not mean the only way to avoid these unscrupulous individuals is to not travel. But being forewarned helps, and in my dealings with them a pattern seems to be to pray on your sense of greed (a great deal you can’t pass up), or your sense of goodness. So only accept “bargains” from people you know who you are dealing with and you know fully what the deal is.
Payday Loans – The Legal Loan Sharking Industry
Laws have been created to protect people against “Loan Shark” practices in which short-term loans are given out at excessive interest rates. There is an industry that has come of age the last couple of years that has circumvented these laws. Enter the Payday loan industry.Payday loans is a some-what new multi-billion dollar industry in which people borrow money to tithe them over until their next payday. These loans also go by the names cash advance loans and paycheck loans. They prey on the lower class that find themselves short of money before a payday. The one thing to consider when looking into a payday loan is the APR or Annual Percentage Rate that these loans carry. At first glance, you may think paying $240.00 for a loan of $200.00 for two weeks is ok. The A.P.R of this loan comes to a whopping 520%. That is the amount this loan would cost if played over a years time. Compare this with a high interest credit card of 29%. When you see it compared to these numbers, you can see they are not the bargain you first thought it was.A representative from a payday loan company has agreed to be interviewed for this article on the condition his identity and that of his company be anonymous.I asked him, how can they can justify such enormous interest charges. His reply was “Because we can. There are loopholes out there that allow us to do this. This is a high risk loan for most cases so we need to charge enough to cover bad loans and to make a profit.”When asked about if payday loans are ever a good idea, his response was “Sure. For example if you will be late on a credit card payment of $70.00 and will be charged a late fee of $30.00 then the APR of the payday loan justifies getting one. You will save points if you get a payday loan and not pay the higher interest rate of the late fee.”When you should get a payday loan:There are times when payday loans are justified as discussed above. The primary example when your late fees are more expensive than the late fees paid to your creditors.Another non-tangible justification is when you can avoid getting reported for a late payment. This can be far more expensive than any payday loan fee in that it could affect the cost you pay for future loans. This is especially true if it’s your mortgage or car payments.Yet another reason to get a payday loan is that you determine that the cost is worth it to you personally. If you are headed for the long awaited vacation and could use a few extra bucks to enjoy and can afford the fees then you should look into this.A final thought on when you should get a payday loan is if you need that cash and it’s free. That’s right free. There are a many sites out there that charge ZERO interest to all first-time customers. One such site can be found at Low Cost Payday Loans. What to look for when getting a payday loan:The first thing to look for is the APR. Federal law has made it so that every lender must disclose the cost of any money borrow through a Truth in Lending Disclosure. This must break down the cost by APR (Annual Percentage Rate). This is the first thing to compare loans by.Another thing to look for is the length of the term. If two companies charge the same rate for every hundred dollars borrowed but company A has a term of up to four weeks and company B has a term of two weeks, then go for Company A and take advantage of the extra four weeks. The APR of Company A is half of Company B. The reason this differs from the first item is that sometimes they base APR on a fixed amount of time (two-three weeks usually). When you read the fine print that the fee charge is fixed and may allow you to pay it back in a longer term such as four weeks. The bottom line:Do your homework when getting a payday loan and look for free to low cost payday loans if possible. The money you save can be substantial. Look for lower cost payday loans and No Fax Payday Loans. These faxless payday loans allow you to apply without needing to submit documentation via fax.
Try Something Different With A Japanese Garden
Japanese Gardens are an interesting amalgamation of nature, spirituality and art. These gardens are meant to suggest harmony and create tranquility in your surroundings. Aiming to capture nature in the most innate way, these gardens are unique because they have been influenced by various chapters of Japanese history and also Shinto, Buddhist and Taoist philosophies.HistoryOriginally, Japanese Gardens represented a utopian land for the Japanese. Philosophies influencing creation of Japanese Gardens bring a sense of spirituality to the gardens. In the past, Japanese gardens were cut off from the masses, since the ruling elite and the religious classes used it as a place of peace and meditation. A Japanese emperor specifically built a garden in Kyoto so that he could spend his years in peace there. The Garden of the Silver Pavilion was another famous landmark used by a renowned soldier as a shelter from violence. The Buddhist influence makes the garden a paradise for peace and quietude, giving people the privilege to ponder and reflect upon their lives, or meditate. The Essential ElementsThe presence of a few elements is mandatory for a Japanese garden, and water is the most important amongst them. Water, in Japanese culture, symbolizes purity. Since Japan is made up of a group of islands, the Japanese had to cross water most of the time to go from one place to another. This has led to the presence of water in most Japanese gardens. In the absence of real water, you can use a symbolic representation, which is usually gray gravel or sand. The sand in the garden is often raked in patterns to represent the waves of the ocean. The other essential elements in a Japanese garden are stones, garden plants, waterfalls, trees, and bridges. In their natural state, stones have an ancient, spiritual quality and also impart strength and endurance to a garden. They may also sometimes symbolize mountains and islands. Garden plants are generally chosen to fit a human scale, often evoking familiar landscapes. Some gardens owners also construct water features like waterfalls, streams, or ponds. Other features that are generally considered include fences, walls and gates, paths, steps, and bridges, water basins, lanterns, the deer chaser and koi fish. There are five different styles of Japanese gardens, namely, Strolling Gardens, Natural Gardens, Sand and Stone Gardens, Tea Gardens and Flat Gardens. An Artist ExpressionThere is a common misconception that Japanese gardens always follow certain ground rules with respect to content and arrangement. Since the Japanese are highly individualistic, the look of the Japanese garden mostly depends on the person who plants and tends the garden. Though some rules are followed, the rest depends on how the gardener wants to express his or her creativity through the garden. How They Are DifferentJapanese gardens are different from Western gardens in terms of their religious and philosophical elements. Japanese gardens are an expression of art, and a symbolic representation of the gardeners view of the universe. On the other hand, westerners do not see gardens as expressions of religious or philosophical beliefs since most Western gardens are essentially smaller versions of a farm. Traditional Japanese gardens emphasize natural, abstract beauty and minimize signage on plants. There are nearly 60 public Japanese gardens in the United States. So if you want your garden to look different from the regular ones, be innovative, have an interesting ambiance around your house and inculcate spiritual solace in your life – opt for Japanese Gardens.
What are anti-ligature blinds?
Anti-ligature blinds are becoming increasingly popular in a range of different settings. The way these blinds differ from traditional blinds is that they are designed to prevent suicide by hanging.
Initially, uptake for this type of blind was largely restricted to high-risk environments such as psychiatric hospitals and prisons, where suicide is common. In mental health environments and detention centres, suicide via hanging is common and preventative measures must be implemented. A huge range of objects could be used to create a ligature point, meaning anti-ligature systems are highly important.
Over the years, anti-ligature blinds have been supplied to hospitals, schools, student accommodation and even hotels.
How do they work?
There are a range of different systems on the market, but the most reliable could well be the magnetic anti-ligature system. YewdaleKestrel® products utilise load release magnets which separate when a downward force is exerted on the product. This means that the product falls to the ground safely and prevents suicide via hanging.
The magnetic systems used in Yewdale’s products are highly reliable because magnets don’t lose their strength for hundreds of years, guaranteeing a lifetime of lifesaving functionality.
Anti-ligature blinds usually have a magnetic connection point above the blind’s barrel. The blind is easy to reconnect to the magnetic bracket after it has fallen to the floor.
If you are considering an anti-ligature blind, Yewdale is a highly recommended company. Based in the UK, Yewdale produce a wide range of anti-ligature products, commercial blinds, and healthcare products including hospital cubicle tracks and medical curtains.
Yewdale produce other anti-ligature products too including a soft, lightweight en-suite door and other accessories such as soap dispensers, toilet roll holder, shelves and artwork. You can see the full range on the website using the link below.
Complete weight loss strategy
For those who want to lose weight
Research on the causes of obesity, knowledge about weight loss, and various diets for weight loss are updated every year. However, with the update of knowledge and the release of diet pills one after another, the obesity rate continues to rise every year, and there is no sign of wanting to decline. I used to be very, very fat, and I am also a person who is prone to obesity.
So I understand the voices of fat people, I really want to lose weight, but I tried many ways to lose weight at that time without success.
I have tried the common boiled meals on the market, eating less and moving more, but it was not until I tried other diets that I managed to lose weight. After I lost weight, I began to study the essence and method of losing weight, and wrote him in this weight loss strategy article, hoping to help you.
A few key myths about losing weight
The weight loss myth of eating less and moving more
The phrase “eat less and move more” is actually true, but most people do it wrong. Many people think that they should eat less of everything, so they limit their calories to a very low level, and it feels a bit like eating an ultra-low-calorie fairy meal. Then, for the hyperactive part, the first thing that everyone thinks of is aerobic exercise such as running, cycling, etc., but in fact, this is a very short-term and easy way to regain weight, mainly because eating too little is an easy way to lose weight. The reason for the loss of muscle mass, coupled with the fact that aerobic training is not helpful for muscle mass growth, causes the metabolism to drop too much.
Maybe you can lose 5 kilograms in this way, but if your metabolism declines, you will easily regain the weight. And it’s all the fat that gets back up, not the muscle you lose that makes you look fatter than before. This is what we call the yo-yo effect, lose weight, get fat back, get fatter than before, lose weight, get back on Fat, get fatter than before.
Stop taking diet pills and meal replacements
At this time, you may start to seek other ways, eat weight loss meal replacements, taking diet pills, and so on. But believe me, most diet pills will inevitably hurt the body, especially the gastrointestinal tract. You may actually lose weight in the moment, but when your gastrointestinal tract is damaged, you will be fatter than before.
The key to understanding how to lose weight
You must have thought, why some people will not gain weight no matter what they eat, while some people will gain a kilogram the next day after eating a little bread? What is the cause of obesity? This is not a simple answer that can be solved!
You can see the link to the picture below, mainly talking about the influencing factors of obesity, which are very, very complicated.
Image source: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/296290/obesity-map-full-hi-res.pdf
In the middle of this picture is the heat balance
So we can know that calorie balance is very important
But this article doesn’t keep preaching that calorie balance is the key to losing weight like other sites
If you don’t know what calorie balance is, you can probably imagine that our body has calorie consumption (exercise, thermogenesis, basal metabolism), and calorie intake (eating).
When calorie consumption exceeds calorie intake, the weight will drop, so the truth of weight loss is to eat less and move more, very simple. In the short term, it is really possible to simply achieve weight loss by eating less and moving more, but simplicity is not simple, because the operation of the body is very complicated. Many people think that they can control their calorie consumption, that they can achieve a lot of calorie expenditure by running all the time, and that eating fairy meals (low-calorie meals) can reduce calorie intake and then easily lose it.
However, according to research, 90% of people who use calorie control, eat less and move more to lose weight will fail or regain the weight.
Because eating less and moving more for too long, metabolism will easily drop, hormones will easily become imbalanced, and muscle mass will easily be lost. Even if you lose 10 kilograms, you will easily regain weight.
When losing weight, the body is like a factory
For me, the key to long-term weight loss and maintaining good posture is the environment in the body, such as hormones, the level of inflammation in the body, and the gastrointestinal system.
Think of the body as a factory
-Your hormones are the managers and workers of factory operations
-Inflamed condition is how good factory machinery and hardware are
-Calorie intake is wages for factories as well as fuel
If the manager of this factory is an idiot, or if the hardware in your factory is completely rotten, then no matter how it works, it will create a pile of waste. Just as our hormones are already out of balance and the level of inflammation in the body is very high, no matter how much you eat, if you don’t solve the existing problems, it will easily accumulate into fat. It may be easier to understand with a few examples.
Hormones vs Weight Loss
This study looked at the effects of sleep and weight loss
Research source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20921542
Both groups of humans were calorie-restricted, but one group slept 5.5 hours a night and the other 8.5 hours. Both groups lost weight, but the group that slept less lost 55 percent less body fat and 65 percent more muscle mass than the group that slept more. It is equivalent to losing weight, but most of the loss is muscle mass, which reduces metabolism and makes it easy to regain weight later.
There is such a big difference mainly because poor sleep has a negative impact. The imbalance of the secretion of these things will easily increase fat and reduce muscle.
This next study looks at the effect of insulin sensitivity on body composition!
Research source: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19471290
Basically, many chronic metabolic diseases, obesity, and poor muscle-building effects are closely related to low insulin sensitivity. Insulin is an anti-catabolic hormone whose main function is to store nutrients in cells. For example, after heavy training, our muscles will be more sensitive to insulin, and the nutrients we eat will be more easily absorbed into the muscles. When insulin sensitivity is low, the nutrients we eat are more likely to be stored as fat rather than absorbed into muscles.
We can simply say that the nutrients in the food eaten by people who are insulin insensitive are more likely to be stored as fat, and the relative fat mass will be much higher than the muscle mass.
To put it simply, the key to losing weight is actually to improve hormones, improve inflammation in the body, and add an appropriate calorie deficit. It is not difficult to achieve a calorie deficit. What is more difficult is how to choose the type of food that suits your body to improve hormones and achieve a long-term good body.
If you only pursue short-term weight loss and rely on a lot of calorie deficits to achieve the effect of weight loss, and then the hormones are still the same after the loss, then I can guarantee that you will gain weight very easily.
With so many ways to eat on the internet, which diet should I try?
When talking about losing weight in Taiwan 30 years ago, everyone would definitely want to use boiled meals
When it came to losing weight five years ago, everyone might think of using a low-sugar diet. When it came to losing weight in the past two or three years, everyone might directly think of the ketogenic diet.
I lost 30kg in 3 months on a low-sugar diet myself for the first time, so I used to believe that a low-sugar diet was the best way to lose weight
But after my long-term understanding of weight loss-related research, genetic cognition, and observation of students, there is no diet that is most suitable for everyone! Although it is said that high-carbohydrate foods will most stimulate insulin secretion, which in turn promotes the storage of nutrients into fat, some people are naturally good at metabolizing carbohydrates, so they can still be healthy and strong after eating high-carbohydrate throughout their lives.
For example, this study compared the responses of people with high and low insulin sensitivity to high- and low-carb diets.
Research source: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1038/oby.2005.79
The study concluded:
-For people with high insulin sensitivity, eating high-carb and low-fat to lose weight is very helpful
-However, people who are insulin insensitive use a high-carb low-fat diet to lose fat, but the weight loss effect is not so good.
But on the contrary, studies have also shown that people with low insulin sensitivity have a very good weight loss effect on a low-carb high-fat diet, which shows that improving insulin is very important for weight loss, and it also shows that people with insulin insensitivity are more suitable
Lose weight with a high-carb diet.
So if you have been obese for a long time, you know that you eat carbohydrates easily, or you know that you have diabetes in your family and want to lose fat, then I would suggest that you can start by reducing carbohydrates, which is what we call low carb diet!
